AN OPERATING EXAMPLE

Start with a clearly defined use case.

Define the work, the information it may use and the result that matters. Integrate the required capabilities, test permissions and recovery, and evaluate the outcome before extending the scope.

Purpose, scope and availability

PSV supports threshold custody for selected secrets, such as high-tier key material. The configured threshold distributes custody across shares and custodians. It complements the broader security architecture and requires its own format, recovery and operational tests.

PSV is not a replacement for general encryption or all storage security. The security of metadata, retained records and reconstruction must be evaluated with the configured format.
